Ethical Clothing Code Retailer Obligations

Thank you for demonstrating your commitment to an ethical approach to doing business by helping to provide greater levels of transparency within the Australian textile, clothing and footwear industry.

As you are aware, it is an obligation of signatories to the Retailers Ethical Clothing Code to submit a supplier list twice a year disclosing details of their Australian textile, clothing and footwear suppliers and ensure they are complying with the relevant Award provisions and laws. These lists are due within 14 days of becoming a retail signatory to the Ethical Clothing Code and within 14 days of 28 February and 31 August in each year.

Retail signatories are also required to compile and store records of full details of all Supplier contracts to be disclosed to TCFUA (Textile Clothing and Footwear Union of Australia) at any time throughout the life of the Agreement
