New Retailer Induction Service

Many new retailers to the competitive environment of shopping centre retailing lack some of the necessary skills and knowledge required during the early stages of their new business. The New Retailer's Induction Service is designed to offer assistance and guidance in many different areas of skills and knowledge.

The service begins with a "checklist" for the new retailer to identify their strengths and weaknesses in order to develop an action plan with the Consultant. The "checklist" includes the following Key Performance Indicators:

  • Business Plan
  • Financial Plan
  • Category Management
  • Buying Plan
  • Space Usage
  • Promotional Plan
  • Retail Training Courses
  • Business Benchmarking
  • Retail Audit

The New Retailer's Induction Service consists of 3 stages:

Stage 1 - First meeting with the retailer to prepare "checklist" and necessary Action Plan.

Stage 2 - Follow up with the retailer to review Action Plan and provide any further assistance and guidance as required.

Stage 3 - Ongoing retailer mentoring on a regular basis or as required.

The ARA Retail Institute has experienced Retail Consultants who can help in many areas of retailer mentoring.
