Experience

Beverley has over 15 years global retail experience in buying and product development with blue chip companies in the UK and Australia, including, Marks & Spencer, Next, the Burton Group (Arcadia), Mothercare, Spotlight and Coles Group. She now combines consulting across a wide range of retail and business clients with lecturing at RMIT University. Beverley specialises in range development and range planning, supplier management and negotiation. She brings an exceptional creativity to the team and is extremely results focussed.

As a Specialist Retail Consultant, Beverley’s global experience in supplier sourcing strategy, product development and people management for large corporations at a senior level, has allowed her to utilise these skills with a wide range of SME’s in a variety of projects. More recently she has gained a diploma in Sustainability from Swinburne University and has undertaken research into the difference in their approaches to Sustainability between UK and Australian retailers.

As a Specialist Retail Facilitator, Beverley is a qualified and highly regarded facilitator and trainer who has written, developed and delivered programs across a number of retail specialisations. Beverley has the ability to relax and engage the group with an outgoing style with an ability to transfer her own passion and enthusiasm to inspire and motivate participants, from senior management to more operational levels.

Major Assignments

  • Business Consultant – Working with a number of SME’s, Beverley has brought her knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to develop start-up business plans, and nurture young businesses in this critical stage of development, working with them to develop commercially successful ranges, develop and implement sales and marketing plans and increase margin and profitability.
  • Training Consultant – Beverley has been responsible for developing the course content, assignment briefs and assessment rubrics for a key RMIT University program in Product Development. She is also a mentor on the RMIT Young Essentials Project (YEP) - working with senior management at Target, Country Road, and Sportsgirl.
