Councillor
Ivor, background has been in cooperate and private sector for the past 30 years. He has worked in the retail industry for Australia’s largest retailer Woolworths and has held several management positions in the operational areas of the business and more recently he has been working in the pharmacy industry for Terry White Chemists as their Human Resources Manager.
Some of Ivor’s achievements have been awarded scholarship, to undertake Post Grad study with Woolworths, Merchant of the year finalist 2000 with Woolworths, Manager of the year 2000 with Woolworths, Pride Of Workmanship “In The Work” Place presented by Rotary Club, Darwin N.T, Seafood Retailer of the Year, 1999 and Young Retailer Of The Year Award 1988.
Ivor has had many affiliations previously as a member of community groups such as Rotary, Kiwanis and Apex, treasurer with the Palmerston Regional Business Association, executive member of the Chamber of Commerce Northern Territory and treasurer with Willetton Perth Junior Cricket Club.
Currently Ivor is a member of the Australian Human Resource Institute (AHRI) and also a member of the Pharmacy Industry Training Advisory Committee.
As a new councillor, Ivor is very keen to have input into the areas of training, IR and HR tools and services that the ARA provide to its members and also keen to play an important role on subcommittees assisting with developing policy in these areas.
