Welcome to ARA Diploma of Retail Management

nrtcolourlogorsThe ARA is proud to offer a Diploma of Retail Management to managers and staff of the Australian retail industry. This programme has been developed in response to the needs of retailers, and those connected to the industry, to increase retail knowledge and skills, and promote competitiveness within the current retail climate.

ARA Diploma of Retail Management

Qualification for the Diploma requires demonstration of competence in 16 key learning units, completed part-time over an eighteen month period. Eight major retail skills areas are covered, each made up of two learning units, delivered in a one day classroom workshop session.

The aim of the programme is to provide participants with knowledge and skills in key areas of retail management excellence.

As an AQF approved Higher Education qualification, the University of Western Sydney has accredited the Retail Management Diploma with advanced standing units towards their Bachelor of Commerce and Business - Retail Management.

Who is the Australian Retailers Association?

The Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is the peak body representing the interests of the retail industry in Australia, and its learning arm, the ARA Retail Institute, provides excellence in online retail education, training, and professional development for retail specific areas. Diploma participants will be guided through their learning by an experienced ARA facilitator, using practical exercises and case studies that reflect the day to day challenges of retailers.
