The ARA Retail Institute's team of highly experienced retail trainers and consultants give you the skills you need to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace. The RAPID (Retail Accredited Productivity Improvement Development) program teaches participants the industry's most up-to-date improvement and execution strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency and most importantly, profitability in their business.
The RAPID Retailing Program was developed as a pilot program in 2008 funded under the Australian Governments Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business (BESB) program and administered under AusIndustry. The pilot program was developed specifically for business owners and had in excess of 100 business owners participating in the program and was able to provide demonstrable business and financial outcomes. This program is truly an innovative retail program and the only program that is totally oriented to equipping the retail owners with the skills and strategies to improve their businesses.
Each participant is supported by a program of education and structured networking groups with fellow retailers, these workshops are designed to ensure that the learning translates into real business situations via case studies. The program is ideal for small businesses taking the challenge to grow their business.

RAPID Retail Diagnostic Tool
The RAPID Retail Diagnostic Tool will help to determine where your businesses' strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats lie and what action plans you have in place to continually succeed and improve in your business.
The RAPID Retail Audit has been developed from the experience and knowledge of Retail Consultants. It has been designed to assist independent store owners to be better informed, skilled and competitive in the retailing industry.
The style of this RAPID Retail Diagnostic Tool is to:
- Identify the key issues of your business by completing the following questionnaire
- Determine specific action items to combat the specific identified issues
- Create a set of action plans for the store to implement
- What are your next steps?
