Why infection control training?

COVID -19 has changed the way we work and live our daily lives.

As a result of COVID-19, more and more workers require knowledge and skills to decrease transmission of infection while undertaking their daily duties.

To keep Australian workers safe from COVID-19, the Australian Government has announced a nationwide approach to infection control training and education; endorsed by the COAG Skills Council.

An approach that aims to harmonise the standard delivery of education offered by industry sectors via a dedicated skillset, targeting frontline workers in all industries.

As the peak body for Australia's Retail Sector, the (ARA) Australian Retailers Association is pleased to offer a Nationally Recognised Infection Control skill set training to all frontline staff working in Retail and the Hair & Beauty industry.

This course will provide workers with the knowledge and training required to follow organisational infection prevention and control procedures, including implementing standard and transmission-based precautions and responding to infection risks.

The Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is offering Infection Control Skill Set (HLTSS00065) course. The course has been contextualised to suit Retail and Hair & Beauty industry.
