Work Trial (PaTH Internship) – If you trial a young person as part of the program, you can receive $1000 to help with costs for the trial*
Wage subsidies of up to $10,000 to support employment of the young person*

Trial a young person (aged 17 to 24) for 4 weeks, 30 to 50 hours a fortnight
The trial will give the young person an opportunity to show what they can do to see if they’re the right fit for your business.
If you’re looking for an apprentice or trainee, you can use a PaTH Internship to trial a young person in the role before committing to a formal apprenticeship agreement.
Get $1000 to help cover the costs of the trial.
If you hire the young person at the end of the trial, you may be eligible to receive additional financial incentives.
Employ an eligible young person and you may be eligible for a financial incentive (known as a wage subsidy) of up to $10,000 (GST inclusive).
If the young person is not the right fit for your business, talk to your provider about your requirements before you start another trial.
To be eligible, the job must be ongoing and average at least 20 hours per week over the 26 week wage subsidy period – it can be full time, part time or casual.
