Currently leads the AI, Analytics, Business Intelligence and Data Science function at Optus, with an enterprise mandate to drive the organisation’s AI strategy, AI product and enterprise AI platform delivery, analytics, data science, AI governance, adoption and value realisation, customer experience measurement, enterprise NPS and strategic AI partnerships.
Previously led Emerging Technology and Innovation at the Commonwealth Bank, where his teams designed, built, validated and scaled AI systems, algorithms, digital products, developer experiences and technology platforms for the Bank’s 16 million customers and 49,000 people. Jesse’s operating experience also carries into governance roles, where he served as the Commonwealth Bank’s Board Representative for Silicon Quantum Computing, one of Australia’s frontier quantum computing companies, and chaired the Chair Search & Selection and Nomination, Remuneration & Strategy Committees. Through his work with Standards Australia and ISO, he also contributes to international innovation management standards, bringing a systems-level governance lens to innovation, partnerships, intellectual property and strategic intelligence.
Jesse has worked as an executive, board director, committee chair, investor, advisor and mentor across regulated enterprises, deep technology ventures, start-up ecosystems and international standards bodies. He has learned to operate at different speeds, from the discipline and trust required in enterprise, to the pace of venture-backed technology companies, to the consensus-building required in standards and governance environments.

As Head of Communications for IKEA in Australia and New Zealand, Patricia is a member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. She is responsible for brand positioning and reputation, government and stakeholder relations, media and influencer relations, and internal communications. Her team drives trust and positive impact metrics through operational and societal campaigns, with a strong focus on community engagement and industry leading partnership campaigns in domestic and family violence.
