Uniqlo doubles Chadstone space

Uniqlo will relocate its Chadstone store in Melbourne to an expanded space within the centre to open on October 13.

UNIQLO_Ginza_Store_-_interior3_-.jpg The move doubles Uniqlo’s floor space to 2,241sqm at Chadstone and follows a period of sustained success since first opening at the complex two years ago.

The new store will carry apparel for men, women, children and babies, launching with the SS16 range.

It will span two levels and boast the largest glass mannequin showcase in any Australian Uniqlo store. Standing more than seven metres high, the glass showcase will provide a dramatic and colourful exhibition of key items for the season.

Matt Parker, Chief Development Officer, Uniqlo Australia, says the new store is reflective of the growing demand for Uniqlo in the local market.

“Chadstone has held a special place in the growth plan of Uniqlo Australia since we first opened. Our larger Chadstone store will allow shoppers to access a more substantial range of product, putting our LifeWear philosophy centre stage in the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere,” said Mr Parker.

“We opened the doors to our first Australian store at Melbourne’s Emporium over two years ago. Since then, we’ve opened four stores in Victoria alone and we’re looking forward to continuing to strengthen our offering across the state,” he said.
