Retail Voice CEO Message: 24 April 2024

Tomorrow, we commemorate ANZAC Day, a National Day of Remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that acknowledges those who served and died in all wars, conflicts and peacemaking operations. Lest we forget.

Trading restrictions vary across the country and the ARA’s breakdown of state-by-state trading information can be found .

We’re just weeks away from First Responders Day on Thursday 16 May, an event which celebrates our frontline heroes.

Now in its fifth year, this event is our community’s way of saying thanks to those who sacrifice so much to keep us safe. From health professionals to emergency services personnel, it is vital to thank our first responders, who alongside their everyday work have steered us through a global pandemic, unprecedented natural disasters and in most recent times a tragedy at a major shopping centre.

In previous years, offers have ranged from 10 to 30 per cent off in-store and/or online items, to complimentary coffee, giveaways or a gift with purchase, depending on where our First Responders choose to shop.

Businesses can sign up for First Responders Day and register their offers by completing this .

Finally, we are excited to announce that nominations are now open for the ARA Retail Awards in September. The inaugural awards are a wonderful celebration of excellence and innovation within the Australian retail sector.

The 2024 ARA Retail Awards, sponsored by principal partner American Express, will culminate in a ceremony revealing the winners at Crown Casino in Melbourne on 19 September.

Nominations and ticket details are available . Nominations close on 31 May.

As always, our membership team is here to help if you need any assistance, so don’t hesitate to reach out via email or on 1300 368 041.
