Janet Menzies
Country Manager, Amazon
Janet brings extensive global leadership experience to her role as Country Manager for Amazon in Australia and Singapore, where she also oversees the China Global Store business. Prior to joining Amazon, Janet worked with Cochlear, an Australian manufacturer of medical devices, as General Manager, Australia and New Zealand.
Her earlier career included 15 years in management consulting, notably with McKinsey & Company. Passionate about advancing women in leadership, Janet was the inaugural CEO of Champions of Change Coalition, working with 300+ leaders to increase the representation of women in leadership and continues as the conveyor of its STEM group.
She also co-founded and was the former Chair of Apropela, a not-for-profit that helps entrepreneurs grow their businesses through connections to suppliers, partners and customers.
Originally from Canada, Janet has lived in Australia for over 15 years and previously spent 12 years in various U.S. cities including Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Silicon Valley.
She holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia.

Patricia Routledge
Head of Communications, IKEA ANZ
Patricia’s career in communications spans over 20 years, including both in-house and agency roles in the UK and Australia. She has led and managed high-profile consumer and corporate brands, including Gumtree, American Express, and Optus. Two of her campaigns have won Cannes Lions awards.
As Head of Communications for IKEA in Australia and New Zealand, Patricia is a member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. She is responsible for brand positioning and reputation, government and stakeholder relations, media and influencer relations, and internal communications. Her team drives trust and positive impact metrics through operational and societal campaigns, with a strong focus on community engagement and industry leading partnership campaigns in domestic and family violence.
Patricia has been with IKEA Australia for almost 10 years, holding several leadership positions within the communications team, including public relations, public affairs, and internal communications.
As a single mother of ‘wonky twins,’ Patricia is passionate about empowering women to step into leadership roles despite life’s messiness and complexities. She advocates for normalising the balance between personal demands and professional responsibilities, ensuring women earn their well-deserved seats at the table.
