CouriersPlease driving innovative solutions for retailers

With e-commerce a growing force in the Australian retail industry, leading parcel delivery service, CouriersPlease (CP), delivers more than 17 million parcels yearly Australia-wide and around the world. CouriersPlease’s Chief Operating Officer, Hoy Yen Hooper, will drive the strategy and innovation of the company’s national operations as it expands its delivery and courier network across the country and overseas.

With nearly two decades of experience in the logistics and supply chain sector Hoy Yen said, “I am looking forward to heading up the operations at CP at an exciting time for the logistics and e-commerce market in Australia. With big players such as Amazon and Alibaba coming to our shores for the first time, CP aims to become a leader in parcel deliveries.

“To meet this aim, I will be working towards cementing CP’s focus, as an organisation, on customers. We will work hard to ensure that we develop solutions that meet customer needs in the ever-changing e-commerce environment. CP is already about to launch some exciting customer-centric developments, including re-delivery to a neighbour, and I am keen to work with the team to launch them in the market.”

Recent CP solutions launched to meet consumer demands for more flexible delivery options include after-hours customer parcel collection options to help e-tailers and other businesses maximise the chances of a successful first-time delivery. Consumers who shop online through a CP-partnered retailer are provided with the option to redirect their parcel – via an email notification sent during transit – to an alternative address, give their courier authority to leave the parcel without a signature, or redirect their parcel delivery to a nearby CP-nominated retail outlet or parcel locker – called POPShops and POPStations respectively. POPPoints are accessible for extended hours, seven days a week.

CP’s new strategy will focus on improving business processes and implementing new initiatives. With Hoy Yen’s vast depth of knowledge and experience in logistics and supply-chain management she is excited to drive the CP business forward, expanding its operations to support the growing online retail market.
