Microsoft sets opening date

Microsoft-at-Westfield-Sydney-on-Pitt-Street-MallAustralia’s first Microsoft store is set to open in Sydney on November 9.

The first flagship store outside North America, located at Westfield Sydney on Pitt St Mall, will include technology customers can try from Microsoft and its partners. It will also feature an Answer Desk for technical questions, troubleshooting and repairs, and the Community Theatre, a space where customers can learn how to use Microsoft’s latest and most popular products.

Set across two levels, the flagship will span more than 500sqm, housing a retail sales floor as well as an interactive space to serve local customers and business, and will be adorned with video walls.

On opening day, Microsoft will donate more than $5 million in software and technology grants to select local organisations in Sydney and New York, as part of the company’s mission to help people achieve more in their lives. Additional details will be available at www.facebook.com/microsoftstore.
