Last week to enter the eftpos ARA 2016 Australian Retail Awards
Australian retailers are notorious for being hard workers, but when it comes to recognition and reward, we’re always shy to stand up.
Australia is overflowing with undiscovered retail excellence, and the Australian Retailers Association is keen to seek out unique and outstanding stores and individuals to enter the 2016 eftpos ARA Australian Retailer Awards.
Nominations are currently being sought across a range of categories, with finalists and winners to receive award and promotion among the retail community locally and abroad, as well as consumers.
Last year’s winner of Australia’s top retail accolade, the eftpos Australian Retailer of the Year, Lush, has gone on to further grow and improve its business, while for others, taking home an award has opened doors to previously unavailable opportunities.
eftpos and the ARA want to reward Australian retailers for the often unseen work that goes into running and maintaining a successful retail business. As one of the largest private sectors in Australia, it is also one the most reluctant to take credit for its success, and we want to change this.
If you are, or know of a retail business or individual working in the Australian retail industry, you are eligible to nominate for one of the nine categories of the eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards, visit http://retail.org.au/2016-retail-awards/ to enter online. Nominations close July 1.
Retailers small and large are encouraged to participate, with businesses from all retail sectors and backgrounds among our past winners. Nominations are submitted via an online form, with winners to be announced at the prestigious annual eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards breakfast in Melbourne on August 10.

About the eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards
First held in the 1970s, the eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards are the nation’s longest running and most prestigious retail event, recognising and rewarding outstanding retail businesses, innovations, and individuals across all sectors of retail.
Relaunched in 2008, the Awards culminate in the annual 2016 eftpos ARA Australian Retail Awards breakfast at Melbourne’s Grand Hyatt on August 10.
In 2016 there are nine Awards categories, judged by an experienced and distinguished panel of impartial fellow retailers, the 2016 awards vent encompasses nine categories including, eftpos Retailer of the Year, Shop For Shops Store Fitout of the Year, Temando Multichannel Retailer of the Year, Frontline Recruitment Retail Employer of the Year, Rest Industry Super Retail Employee of the Year, FCB Retail Rising Star of the Year, Pronto Software Retail Innovator of the Year, ARA Retail Institute Retail Graduate of the Year, ARA Independent Retailer of the Year.
