October – National Safe Work Month

safe work month National Safe Work Month is October, and retailers are being asked to think about how their organisation can recognise work health and safety to win a reward worth $5000.

Safe Work Australia is inviting workplaces around Australia to submit entries to the Workplace Participation Reward.

Enter the Reward and describe your October work health and safety initiative and how you make your workplace safer.

The organisation whose entry displays the most outstanding spirit, participation, creativity and sustainability during National Safe Work Month will receive a prize pack valued at up to $5000 and the opportunity to share your safety story nationally.

Safe Work is developing a resource kit to help businesses organise activities, to be made available on the Safe Work website.
