Retail Voice CEO Message: 26 July 2023

Next February’s highly anticipated ARA Leaders Forum is taking shape, and we’re proud to announce one of the largest ever line-ups of retail leaders and CEOs of any Australian industry conference – with more to come.

The 2024 Leaders Forum is set to be a who’s-who of Australian retail, with over 60 speakers sharing their insights and expertise.

For the first time, the 2024 Leaders Forum will be a two-day in person event.

Taking place at the ICC Sydney on February 21 and 22, 2024 – super early bird tickets remain on sale until midnight 31 July, 2023.

The ARA Leaders Forum is an ARA member event. However, if you are not an ARA member and are interested in attending, please contact .

In other news, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) revealed this morning that inflation fell to 6 per cent in the year to June. The annual inflation rate was at 7 per cent in the March quarter.

We are hopeful this will prompt interest rate increase relief from the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Meanwhile, we continue to liaise closely with government and industry on the ongoing Industrial Relations reforms, including the Federal Government’s plan to transition casual workers to permanent employees which gained media attention this week.

The devil will be in the detail of the legislation, and we look forward to seeing the draft and providing member feedback to government.

As retail crime continues to severely impact our sector, we continue to work closely with authorities and to highlight member concerns to government and in the media. We will have more announcements in the coming weeks.

As always, our membership team is here to help if you need any assistance, so don’t hesitate to reach out via email or on 1300 368 041.
